Local Reconnect is a product of Precognitive Labs ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it in plain language — if anything is unclear, email us at info@localreconnect.com.
What we collect
When you apply for a free business spotlight, we collect the information you provide: your name, email, business name, business category, city/service area, a description of your business, and any optional details you choose to share (ideal customers, what makes you different, valuable referral types, website and social links, phone, Featured Partner and QR pilot interest, future-feature interest, current chamber or association, and what you wish your local business network did better).
We don't use advertising trackers or sell your browsing behavior. Like most websites, our hosting provider may collect basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To review your application and create a business spotlight that helps local people understand and refer you
- To contact you about your spotlight, the Featured Partner / QR pilot, and related opportunities
- To match your business with referrals and local connections as the network grows
- To notify you when new Local Reconnect features (like the Active Referral System or consumer discovery) launch
Nothing about your business is published without your involvement. The consent box on the form covers being featured — before anything goes live, we work with you directly.
Where your information lives
Form submissions are stored securely in HubSpot, the customer relationship platform we use to manage submissions and communications. HubSpot processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy and security commitments.
Payments
Applying for a founding business spotlight is free, and the Featured Partner / QR waiting-room pilot costs nothing to participate in. In the future, we may offer paid partner tiers or subscription services. If and when we do:
- Payments will be handled by a reputable third-party payment processor (such as Stripe or a similar provider) — we will not store your full credit card or bank account numbers on our own systems
- We will collect only the billing information needed to manage your subscription
- Terms, pricing, and cancellation options will be clearly presented before you're ever charged
- We will update this policy before launching any paid services
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information
- We don't share your information with third parties for their own marketing
- We don't publish anything about your business without your involvement
Email and communications
We'll only email you about features, opportunities, and Local Reconnect updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us directly and we'll remove you.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- See the information we have about you
- Correct or update it
- Delete it from our systems
- Withdraw your consent to be featured
Just email info@localreconnect.com and we'll take care of it promptly.
Children
This site is intended for business owners and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes — like launching paid tiers or new data uses — we'll update this page and the date at the top.
